Total Recall is a new ensemble formed in Madrid, Spain in response to the intense demands of contemporary jazz improvisation. Taking inspiration from Bedrock, NIrvana, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Wayne Krantz, Tyft and the fine Dutch food, Total Recall is prepared to blow your tits off with brute force.
THESE SPIRITS OF ELSEWHERE
The music of TSOE is based on the artists individual approaches towards composition/improvisation and their involvement in different artforms. The topics space, time and content will be reflected within the artists' ability to imagine and transform ideas from different medias to sound and its structural and formal development. At least two generations of experience in performing arts will melt and join within this project to an abstract interdisciplinary image and subsequently to the presence of an accurate perception and digestion of todays revelations in a.o. music and arts.

If you think Jazz-Rock is so yesterday, you haven't heard this band. What you get is indeed lots of odd meters and worked out compositions, so you might think "Ok... another bunch of guys who only want to show off", but watch out! This band grooves pretty hard and luckily (or unluckily...?) they are young enough to have missed the slick 80s fusion experience
