A modern contemporary jazz project composed of very talented international musicians all based in Amsterdam, lead by the sicilian guitar player, Sandro Fazio. This band tries to achieve introspective expressions, making use of elegant melodies, and trying to find a perfect balance between compositions and improvisation.

Krachmacher ...translates as noisemakers. They make noise and turn it into music. Or the other way around. For where does music stop and does noise begin? The trio, consisting of the German singer Eva Pfitzenmaier, Norwegian guitar player Stephan Meidell and dutch drummer Onno Govaert, turns the conventional upside down, mixes styles of music that are not supposed to be mixed, experiments with the borderline between noise, sounds and music. With the assistance of effects and inventive techniques they create a rough soundscape out of which sophisticated jazz- influenced pop songs arise. Free improvisation and sound experiments merge into original compositions. The songs are being put into an unusual and unexpected context and their raw environment makes them appear even more special and beautiful.

The band originated by the composer guitarist Leonardo Grimaudo that after studying classical guitar in Sicily and jazz guitar in Holland, and after having participated in numerous jazz festivals since 2002 always with the project Sibuli, now faces the original compositions in an experimental key through the sound of the trio composed by musicians who for years playing in the modern jazz and experimental scene such as Marco Scirč (percussions, drums and live electronics)and Benjamin Holhlfeld (doublebass). Next release in January 2008 for the Splash records of the new Sibuli work titled Deserto di mare
