Oguz Buyukberber and Tobias Klein have been playing together since 2005, but the first time they presented their electro-acoustic duo in formal setting was at the 2008 Akbank Jazz Festival in Istanbul. They play both acoustic and with live-electronics, compositions and improvisations.
Creating his own style of music influenced by Classical Western music, Turkish music and jazz, (bass-) clarinet player Oguz Büyükberber is a multi-talented artist with an interest in visual arts that dates back to his childhood. (Bass-) clarinet player and saxophonist Tobias Klein has been co-leading and composing for groups like Spinifex Orchestra, Full Fathom Five and Man Bites Dog. He is one of the TryTone founding members.

Newcomer Scott R. Looney on piano, prepared piano, and electronics, has played w/ Frank Gratkowski several times in the US (recently on the Mimetic Holds Cd - Balancepoint Acoustics), but this is their 1st time together in Amsterdam. For this special event they are joined by the creative Michael Vatcher on drums in an exciting trio format. See what happens when three great improvisers get together for sonic exploration involving lightning-fast exchanges, contemplation, melody, and noise.
