Sonido 13
Jason Alder: clarinets, electronics / Harry Cherrin: saxophones
Sonido 13 uses and abuses their classical training, along with an unbridled spirit of exploration and freedom, to create spontaneous pieces of chamber music which defy classification. The Amsterdam-based duo uses microtonality and virtuosic extended techniques to create a unique personal musical language, informed by contemporary concert music, electronic music, noise, free improv, jazz, folk musics and many others.

Yolanda Uriz and Ángel Faraldo have been exploring different ways to relate to each other through improvisation since they started collaborating in 2007. They currently attempt to build a common and single sound-structure, merging their individual contributions in a way that non-standard synthesis, DSP and Yolanda’s flutes are at times hard to be dissected.
Their first release, Villa Ockenburg, is available at Larraskito net-label (www.xedh.org/larraskito).
