Global Axis

The 21st century provides new possibilities such as worldwide access to all kinds of music.The basic musical axis of 'New World Music' is improvisation. The instrumentation of this bassless quartet combines the sound of the acoustic chambermusic ensemble with synthesized pop grooves and world music percussion, ignoring all borderlines between different musical styles and genres. Global Axis' very first live appearance has been recorded by the Dutch VPRO radiostation in december 1999. In 2001 the band recorded their first album 'New World Music' that was released in 2002 by TryTone Records, Amsterdam.
