The nexus of space and time is where you are, now!' zegt Terence mcKenna in de track 'reclaim your mind', en daar gaat de muziek van dit Amsterdamse trio ook over. De muziek is geinspireerd door het moment, de chemie tussen de musici en het moment Nu. Pianist Franz von Chossy, internationaal geroemd voor zijn excellente en originele muzikantschap, leeft zich in deze bezetting vooral uit op de Nord-electro, en onthult daarmee zijn ruigere rock alter ego. Met drummer Philippe Lemm en bassist Rodrigo Reijers avonturiert hij door uiteenlopende muzikale landschappen, die soms de psychedeliche rockgroepen als Pink Floyd en the Doors in herinnering roepen, maar altijd verder tuimelen in onondekte territoria van geluid en ritme.

The music is inspired by the moment, the chemistry of the musicians and their context, now. Pianist Franz von Chossy, internationally recognized for his excellent and original musicianship, explores in this group the possibilities of the 'nord electro', giving the group a more rock-like direction. Drummer Philippe Lemm and bassist Rodrigo Reijers lay down their colorful grooves. The funk legacy is obviously there, as well as so many more musical roots, but somehow they merge it into something of their own. Sometimes accompanied by toads and prophets they tumble through a psychedelic odyssey of hypnotic grooves and strange soundscapes.

Vanachter een gorgelende, jankende en juichende Nord Electro produceert de Amsterdamse pianist Franz von Chossy het nieuwe geluid waar deze lente naar snakt. Zijn trio The Nexus ( met drummer Philippe Lemm en bassist Rodrigo Reijers) roept bij vlagen de psychedelische rock van Pink Floyd en The Doors in herinnering, maar het verrassende van dit debuutalbum 'Further Out' (uitgebracht op het TryTone Label) schuilt vooral in frisse oorspronkelijkheid. Dit soort Jazz kenden we nog niet. De vonken springen eraf, voorafgaand aan new-age -achtig gemijmer. De naam Nexus ('snijvlak') kan als een beginselverklaring worden opgevat. Of, zoals een donkere stem declameert: ' The Nexus of space and time is where you are, now' ."
